Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Cinnamon Swirl
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
Make the Cinnamon Swirl
  1. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  2. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  4. Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
Bake the Bread
  1. Using a knife or skewer, swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled banana bread.

Notes
